THE SCOOP

This is Pickin' Production's sixth year producing three fantastic outdoor free summer concerts series' in beautiful Western Colorado.  We begin in June at Fellin Park in Ouray with The Mountain Air Music Series.  In July we move to Ridgway's Hartwell Park for The Ridgway Concert Series.  And then we swaggered up to to the lovely Paonia Town Park for Pickin' in the Park in August.  The concerts bring a variety of top notch national bands, with local and regional (and this year a handful of national) acts opening the shows.  In Ouray and Ridgway, the openers also play late night shows at local venues.

All three town parks have endless grassy lawns to lay blankets and chairs on, with plenty of room for the kids to run around or a game of frisbee or some hoola-hooping. There are free kids activities onsite so parents can relax and enjoy the music.  All the concerts provide vendors selling locally prepared and often locally grown food, as well as locally brewed beer and local wine.  You're welcome to bring a picnic, too.  But please, do not bring in your own alcohol (it's the law).  And there is no glass allowed in the parks.

The concerts are from 6pm and go til dark (often past dark) and are live broadcast on KVNF
