Shelby Means brings a powerful blend of bluegrass, folk, Americana, and country to Public House on July 5. Born in Kentucky and raised on Wyoming’s high plains, Means has built a reputation as one of the standout bassists and vocalists in modern roots music, with nearly two decades of work across bluegrass, folk, rock, Americana, and country. She is widely known for her time with the GRAMMY-nominated all-women bluegrass band Della Mae and recently stepped into the spotlight with her debut solo album. 

With a sound that is both deeply rooted and refreshingly personal, Shelby Means delivers songs and performances that feel timeless while still pushing the tradition forward. Her music showcases not only her exceptional musicianship, but also a distinctive voice as a songwriter and performer.
